Life takes place on and off the railway tracks in Bombay. Slums are situated right up to the tracks, people walk on and off them just as trains have left or are due to arrive, millions use the trains to commute to work and back home in the distant and far less expensive suburbs. Hours per day can be spent on these crowded trains for the many who survive on jobs in the crowded financial capital of India - in the state of Maharashtra.
