Couple’s bodies found in two trunks near Sonepat - Haryana

In a suspected case of “honour killing”, the Haryana Police recovered two mutilated bodies of a girl and a boy stacked in two steel trunks from Devi Lal Park near the GT Road between Bahalgarh and Murthal. Subsequently, the police formed five teams to identify the couple. According to eyewitnesses, morning walkers in the park noticed the two trunks lying in the park and informed the park caretaker. The trunks were dumped near the hedge dividing the park from the service lane. Suspecting foul play, the caretaker did not open the boxes and informed the police.
