A beautiful Kuchipudi recital by Kumari Sree Veena Mani at Vasuki Auditorium, Lok Kala Manch. Raagam : Shivaranjani, Lord Shiva represents the supreme being who dissolve and recreates in the Hindu Trilogy of Brahma, Vishnu and shiva who represents creation , preservation and dissolution respectively. This aspects of his cosmic duties i.e. dissolution , has given him an erroneous identity as the God of Destruction. This misconception has arisen because people have failed to grasp the true significance of his cosmic role i.e. creation sustains itself by a delicate balance between the opposing forces of good and evil. When this balance is disturbed and sustenance of life becomes unliberated souls will have another opportunity to liberate themselves from bondage with the physical world. Lingas
